Do you have a passion for heavy fabrication?

1300apprentice currently have a host employer located in Turrella who are looking for a 1st year boilermaking apprentice to join their team.

Throughout the apprenticeship, you will be undertaking a Certificate III in Engineering, Fabrication trade (heavy fabrication).

About the role:

You will be fabricating roller shutters and respective components. With the potential to lead into helping with installs also. This role is to start out as workshop based and become more worksite orientated as the apprenticeship progresses.

Duties that you will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Read drawings and specifications of a job
  • Welding, bending, folding and polishing steel
  • Fabrication and cutting
  • Computer work
  • Grinding
  • General clean up.

Pre-requisites:

  • Experience using basic hand and power tools
  • White card.

  • Physical fit and strong
  • Great work ethic and attitude to work
  • Dedicated and willing to learn
  • Follows direction well.
